Hot Rod is a good All American diner. They have amazing early bird breakfast deals. Its very popular in hilmar since it's the only American restaurant.

Absolutely fantastic service -- they took care of our 25-person team on short notice, brought us waters and menus quickly, and had such a fast turnaround between getting our orders and serving our food. Delicious and filling meal -- veggie burger came with a solid portion of fries -- at a very reasonable price!

Always good food and good sized portions. Price is right . Service is ...meh. Parking lot is cramped so can be difficult to find a spot especially on the weekends.

We are venturing out to find new places to eat. Seriously, life is to short to eat at the same place every other day except when you have a " Never Ending Pasta Pass" from the Olive Garden but that's another story. We are gathered here to talk about the Delicious
Food we had at the HOT ROD DINER. I ordered the Chantilly Lace French Toast and yes I will get this again. Dale ordered "HOBO Scramble" something with Chorizo and Potatoesand I ate a good portion of his dish. Service was On Point! I noticed they had a bar in the adjacent room I know, we're going to be coming back here to maybe have a hamburger and a beer two.
